Australian site allows you to easily identify the recycling opportunities in your local area eg. by using your postcode. This can be much more than what is organised through your local Council.

Australia's "environmentally friendly search engine". An entry point to all sorts of environmental information, including "less obvious" categories such as Ethical Investment & Ecotourism.
The Wilderness Society
"National, community-based, environmental advocacy organisation whose mission is to protect, promote and restore wilderness and natural processes across Australia for the survival and ongoing evolution of life on Earth". Includes a great collection of links.
Australian Conservation Foundation

The Earth Share Australia Foundation
A national initiative of leading environment groups. "working with the community, business, employees and Government to transform the level of resources available for environmental and community programs". Friends of the Earth Australia
"Friends of the Earth (FoE) is a federation of autonomous local groups who are working towards an environmentally sustainable and socially equitable future". Greenfleet Australia

"The state's peak non-government environment organisation." Our purpose is "working with people from all walks of life to bring about a society living in harmony within a healthy environment."
Jewish Nature Center
US center which "develops curriculum integrating Jewish studies and nature experiences, explores the application of ancient Jewish ecological wisdom to contemporary Jewish life and serves as a forum for Jewish naturalists, environmentalists, educators and students". Inspirational - could Australia ever support such a center?
