B'NEI MITZVAH FOR CHILDREN & ADULTS

Picture
Our children find their B’nei Mitzvah experience enjoyable, meaningful and thought provoking.

The program of learning involves a year of study designed to meet each child’s needs, interests and abilities. Student
s work individually with tutors and mentors to learn their Torah portion, service and the preparation of a D'var Torah. Students also participate in learning with other B’nei Mitzvah students and their families.   Students take on a Tikkun Olam project, to involve them in community service and Tsedakah.

The aim of the program is for students to experience a personal journey which makes this rite of passage meaningful for them.

“My son loved the learning, had a great time and really deepened his connection to Judaism and the community”
For adults who have not had a B’nei Mitzvah, or who would like to celebrate the anniversary of their B’nei Mitzvah, Kedem provides learning and celebration. We can tailor a program according to adults’ needs, interests and abilities.
This is what Leonie says about doing her adult B’nei Mitzvah at Kedem:
“I learnt about the service, about the prayers, about Judaism and about how to find my own personal Judaism. My B’nei Mitzvah day was fantastic. Being there supported by family and friends, including my new Kedem friends really made me feel special, as if I was a part of something.”
