Eat, Pray, Fun!
We celebrate the yearly cycle of festivals from High Holydays to Purim, Pesach and Shavuot and everything in between! Kedem’s chaggim are memorable, warm, and creative ways to come together.
High Holydays
Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur are the highlights of the year. The shul changes to white accessories, the cantors sing the High Holyday tunes and we usher in the New Year together. A special sense of holiness, community and family is felt by all.
ShavuotWe celebrate Shavuot with an evening of learning and a service the next morning. A highlight is the annual cheesecake competition, judged by the children.
Chanukah
At Chanukah everyone brings their chanukiyot and we light candles together.
Simchat TorahAt Simchat Torah we unroll the entire Torah and everyone helps to carefully hold up the parchment. Members being honoured for their service and dedication have aliyot, while the last and first sections of the Torah are chanted.

"Dressing up for Purim, decorating the Sukkah, eating honey cake on Rosh Hashanah and communal candle lighting at Chanukah - I love celebrating the festivals with my Kedem community."
