The aim of the program is for students to experience a personal journey which makes this rite of passage meaningful for them.

The program of learning involves a year of study designed to meet each child’s needs, interests and abilities. Students work individually with tutors and mentors to learn their Torah portion, service and the preparation of a D'var Torah. Students also participate in learning with other B’nei Mitzvah students and their families. Students take on a Tikkun Olam project, to involve them in community service and Tzedakah.

For adults who have not had a B’nei Mitzvah, or who would like to celebrate the anniversary of their B’nei Mitzvah, Kedem provides learning and celebration. We can tailor a program according to adults’ needs, interests and abilities.
